Since our charter in 1951, the Melvin Cowart American Legion Post 274 has been welcoming Veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all Military personnel serving our Country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals embodied in our preamble below.

THE NEW 2021 MEMBERSHIP CARDS ARE NOW AVAILABLE. YOU CAN PAY YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR 2021. WHAT IS SO GREAT ABOUT IT IS, JUST THINK, PAY NOW FOR A RELATIVE OR LOVED ONE FOR A XMAS GIFT. I KNOW, WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT CHRISTMAS IT IS 5 MONTHS AWAY. NOW IS THE TIME FOR US TO GET NEW MEMBERS THAT CAN COME AND ENJOY THE POST. BY BUYING A MEMBERSHIP NOW YOU GET THE BALANCE OF 2020 AND ALL OF 2021 FOR THE SAME MONEY.WHAT A PERFECT GIFT. FOR ALL OF OUR SNOW BIRD FRIENDS PAY NOW SO YOU DON'T FORGET WHEN YOU COME DOWN , YOU WILL HAVE YOUR NEW CARD. DUES DID NOT GO UP, THEY REMAIN AT $50.00 FOR 2021 JUST AS WE PROMISED.

All members must show the bartender their Legion ID when ordering. If you do not have a Legion ID, you must sign in at the entrance.

NOTICE

Due to our license restrictions, no food/or beverages are allowed to be brought into Post 274 without prior approval from the Post Executive Committee or a member of said committee. This is to include any celebratory cakes, candy, etc... We do not do this for any other reason than to protect our license and the integegrity of the Post and it's membership. We thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
